Magnets !!
Yeah, and you all thought the cards (2 1/2" x 3 1/2", w/an image area of 60 X 85 cm), were small. Each of these has a completed size slightly bigger than a quarter. I bought a couple of oversized hole punchers at the local craft emporium at the end of 2007, and I love them. So much easier than using a stencil to make circles.

Tomorrow I'm mailing most of these out as gifts. I'm kicking around how to make them more cheaply, and with a larger image area, too.

The cutting of such simple shapes is easy. Now, the locating, sorting and storing OTOH...

Boys, it's not so easy to locate bird images of such a diminutive size. But I'll work on it.

Those are lovely. I would think a price of around $6 would be viable, although $3 would probably sell a lot more. Those are around the prices where I would start buying them if they were being made by someone I didn't know.

Thanks ! :)

Based on my exhaustive (30 second) estimate of costs, I'd just about break even at $3. Without shipping, listing and labor calculated in. It may well be that without the "help" of factories in China, these might be better as some kind of promotion or gift ("BUY BEFORE Such-and-Such-A-Day and get a surprise gift !") than as a profit-making venture.

But we'll see.
